“This astonishing feature debut from first-time director, Jordan Lisi, asks all the right questions about what it means to be human. But even more surprising, is his refusal to give us simple answers. Instead, he challenges us to find our own meaning in the stories he so astutely portrays. In three very different situations— we understand how fiercely we all crave love and connection. And how tragically rare it is for people’s cravings to take place at the same time. The tragedy of missed moments is searing - especially when the promise of profound love seems so close. Sound complex? It is - but perhaps most surprising of all is the simplicity and elegance of the way Lisi spins his artful web."

- Pamela Katz, screenwriter of 'Hannah Arendt' (2012), Rosenstrasse (2003), and more

"Jordan Lisi's got some great ideas about structure here, which he's taken off and run with, hard--the result is this tough little jewel of indie cinema."

- Andrew Bujalski, writer/director of 'Funny Ha Ha' (2002)

"This is an exceptional film I’ll be retuning to again and again."

- Peter Rinaldi, Filmmaker, Writer, and host of BACK TO ONE

"The film resembles a visual concept album, taking us back and forth between places and people as they find themselves meandering through life...it has some of the most gorgeous cinematography and sound mixing I've seen/heard in an indie film this decade...you will be seeing the first film in what is sure to be an illustrious career in filmmaking for Jordan Lisi."

- Aaron Bartuska, writer, Split Tooth Media

"Jordan Lisi 's direction is ambitious and yet does not get caught up in the desire to overdo it and to mirror itself; the result is a complete work directed with maturity and a certain degree of originality...When we see a film by Jordan Lisi we immediately enter into the human mood carried forward by the narration and we have no difficulty in understanding it...we believe that 12 And More Omissions represents a starting point in the perspective of a research that follows a double track (cinematic research and excavation into the soul of the human being) and that we will hear a lot in the future about Jordan Lisi and his personal way of approaching cinema and people."

- Ordet: The Word at the Cinema Arthouse

“Visually striking and beautifully shot…the dialogue felt really true to life and the soundtrack was great. Subtle tension building throughout that really hit me when the credits rolled.”

- Louisa Ballhaus, journalist/author, features correspondent for BBC Culture

"[Lisi works] with multiple locations and dovetailing non-linear storylines in a way that feels at once fragmentary and cohesive…impressive how willing [Lisi is] to linger with scenes to evoke a feeling, without overdetermining where the threads are leading…The storylines are far-flung ostensibly disconnected from one another, but the film itself nevertheless feels quite personal and cohesive.  As a first film, it's really quite an impressive feat to put together something so ambitious for a short film (that also succeeds so well)."

Reviews From The Programmers of Sipontum Arthouse International Film Festival

A fascinating example of indie cinema, where photography plays a crucial role in conveying the tone and emotional intensity of the narrative. [...] The colors are dosed with precision, reflecting the seasons and their emotional impact on the stories. Natural light, often used to emphasize the solitude or intimacy of the moments, helps create an almost documentary atmosphere, accentuating the vulnerability and sincerity of the protagonists.

- Antonio Universi

Micro-budget but high ambitions. Set in three different locations, each associated with a season, Jordan Lisi's film reveals expressive mastery and poetic vision very well represented. Good direction, good cast, musically coherent. The author's enthusiasm must be encouraged.

-Carmine Totaro

An original style that however echoes in a recognizable cinematographic universe: melancholic like the Duplass films, conflicted like the films of Kit Zahuar or even more like those of Alex Ross Perry, documentary like the films of the Ross Brothers: Jordan Lisi's film comes from this world but contains an original and personal voice granting us that poetic aspect of love through an empathetic and shared vision.
