Jordan Lisi is a filmmaker based in Brooklyn, New York.
My film 12 And More Omissions (2024) was recognized across the world, receiving multiple awards, including Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography, and Best Actress at the 2024 Sipontum Arthouse International Film Festival, as well as Best Director at the 2024 Berlin Independent Film Festival. The film has been described by established members of the film industry as an exceptional contribution to independent cinema, including praise from American independent filmmaker Andrew Bujalski (Funny Ha Ha, Computer Chess), German screenwriter Pamela Katz (Hannah Arendt, Rosenstraße), and Filmmaker Magazine’s Peter Rinaldi (Back To One Podcast).
My professional experience includes producing award-winning independent films, serving as 1st Assistant Director on high-profile commercial and narrative productions in New York City, editing branded and digital content for major organizations, and mentoring emerging filmmakers through prestigious educational programs.
As a 1st Assistant Director, I have worked on film and video projects which have premiered at major festivals including Odense Film Festival, The Tribeca Festival, and Flickers Rhode Island Film Festival; prestigious venues including The Angelika Film Center (NYC), TCL Chinese Theater (LA), and Museum of the Moving Image (NYC); as well on National Television, The Criterion Channel, Nowness, and more. In post-production, I have edited, post supervised, and consulted on video campaigns for major brands and clients, including two Webby Award-winning video campaigns.
In education, I instruct documentary filmmaking workshops for the award-winning non profit Educational Video Center (EVC), as well as assistant directing workshops for Downtown Community Television Center (DCTV, New York City's preeminent community of and for documentary film.
